Since 2012, Bioenno Electronics has developed leading scientific and engineering expertise in the development and fabrication of (1) biomedical device packaging/components including biomedical/environmental sensors; and (2) RF/microwaves including optical modulator and UV/IR detectors. Bioenno Electronics has a strong R&D team with leading expertise in materials science, mechanical engineering, electrical/electronic engineering, and biomedical engineering. We have also established collaboration with a number of partners from national laboratories and universities. Our projects have been funded via commercial investment, SBIR (Small Business Innovative Research) grants, and subcontracts from other companies. We also conduct multiple in-house projects related to the development of biomedical devices and new-generation graphene modulator. With a strategic collaboration, Bioenno Technology has developed a number of nanomamterial processing techniques including nanoimprint, CVD, and solution-based synthesis.
Our recent technology developments include:
- Graphene based optical modulators and photodetectors
- Wide-bandgap semiconductor or nanomaterials based UV/IR photodetectors
- Cost-effective processing of nanoparticles, nanocoating and other nanostructures
Over recent years Bioenno Tech has teamed with Aegis Technology conducted extensive research and development efforts in GaN based Semiconductor devices and GaN based power modules. One project is on the development of a novel class of power conversion system based on emerging wide-bandgap gallium nitride (GaN) power devices, which would be capable of operating at high power densities, high frequencies and high temperatures, and thus offering the advantages such as high efficiency, small size and light weight. The other project is on the development of Develop an advanced, modular and scalable capacitor charging converter that takes advantage of the unique characteristics of wide bandgap GaN or SiC semiconductor devices.
Our Bioenno Electronics subsidiary is also working to providing the products, manufacturing and development of
(1) Microwave/RF devices including next generation graphene based modulator and photodetector for telecommunications;
(2) New-generation chemical/fluid/gas sensors based on wide bandgap semiconductors, and/or nanotechnology for environmental and biomedical applications; and
(3) Nanomaterials-based thermoelectric (TE) cooler and thermoelectric generator (TEG) devices.
